- If you have suffered an injury or had an accident, many physician's will prescribe therapeutic massage. Ask your Doctor about it. If you have insurance, make sure that the Massage Therapist will accept your insurance for accident or injury.
- If you don't have insurance, check prices and make arrangments for payment. Insurance usually does not cover relaxation massage.
- Make sure that you are going to a certified licensed massage therapist. All therapists are required to post their license in the facility they are working in.
- Check the experience of your masseur. Especially if you are going for a massage with a medical condition or health problem. Make sure your massage therapist has experience or training and feels comfortable working with your particular need. If not find a more experienced therapist.
